Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 Cruiser revealed at EICMA 2026

Harley-Davidson has unveiled the Sprint 440 at EICMA 2026, featuring a cruiser-inspired design, a 440cc engine producing 27hp and a lower 683mm seat height. Based on the X440 platform, the motorcycle is priced from GBP 4,995 in the UK, with an India launch unlikely anytime soon.
Late October mein humein Sprint 440 ka production ready version dekhne ko mila tha, jise Harley-Davidson ke liye Hero develop kar raha hai. Abb Harley-Davidson ne is motorcycle ko EICMA 2026 mein officially unveil kar diya hai, with a UK price of GBP 4,995. At the moment US motorcycle maker ne confirm kiya hai ki Sprint 440 apne home market means US mein spring 2027 tak launch ki jayegi. What is known about the Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 Agar baat karein Hero MotoCrop or Harley-Davidson ki partnership ki, so both companies ne apne joint venture ke under first product X440 ko 2023 mein reveal kiya tha. Although X440 mein cruiser-like stance dene ki try ki gayi thi with an 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, but majority people ko iska overall design ek retro-roadster jaisa hi laga. However, abb apne fourth product ke saath companies is perception ko completely change karna chahti hai. New Sprint ka overall silhouette X series motorcycle ke comparison mein kaafi zyada Harley-Davidson cruiser jaisa lagta hai. Company ke according, iska design 1961 ke original Sprint model se inspired hai. Is shared design language ke saath abb motorcycle mein taller 19-inch front wheel diya gaya hai, jo rear mein milne wale 17-inch wheel ke comparison mein profile ko noticeably raised stance deta hai. Other than this, Harley-Davidson ne motorcycle ke fuel tank, handlebar or exhaust ko bhi redesign kiya hai, so that overall styling or cruiser aesthetic ke saath yeh elements better complement kar sakein. Fuel tank ki capacity bhi previous setup ke comparison mein 4.5 litres smaller kar di gayi hai.
Seat ko bhi rework kiya gaya hai, jiske baad ab iski seat height surprisingly 683mm ho gayi hai, jo ki X440 ki 805mm seat height ke comparison mein kaafi lower hai. Harley-Davidson ek accessory seat bhi offer karti hai, jiska name Tallboy hai. Is seat ko install karne ke baad rider ki seating position 51mm back or 63.5mm higher ho jaati hai. Other than this ek or accessory seat bhi available hai, jiska name Reach rakha gaya hai. Yeh seat rider ko handlebar ke 25mm seating position provide karti hai. Seat height mein kiye gaye changes ke chalte subframe ko bhi redesign kiya gaya hai, jo ab X440 ke subframe se different hai. Handling mein or improvements karne ke liye tyres mein bhi changes dekhe jaa sakte hai. Sprint 440 mein ab front par 100/90-19 tyre diya gaya hai, whereas rear mein 150/60R17 tyre milta hai. Comparison karein so X440 mein 100/90-18 front or 140/70-17 rear tyre diya gaya tha. In sabhi changes ke chalte Sprint 440 ka overall weight bhi 5kg reduce ho gaya hai, or abb iska kerb weight 187kg hai.
Motorcycle ke other parts X440 series se hi shared rakhe gaye hai. Iski starting engine se hoti hai jahan Sprint 440 mein same 440cc single-cylinder, air and oil cooled engine diya gaya hai, jo 6,000rpm par 27hp ki power or 4,000rpm par 38Nm ka torque generate karta hai. Other than this 6-speed gearbox bhi carry forward kiya gaya hai, jo slip and assist clutch ke saath aata hai. Suspension setup ki baat karein so yeh bhi largely same rakha gaya hai. Sprint 440 mein 43mm KYB USD front or rear mein twin-shock suspension setup dekha jaa sakta hai. However, rear shock ko thoda forward side mount kiya gaya hai, while suspension travel ko bhi reduce kiya gaya hai so that lower seat height or redesigned subframe ko accomodate kiya jaa sake. Braking duties ke liye bhi same carry forward kiya gaya hai, jisme front par 320mm disc or rear mein 240mm disc milta hai. Both wheels par ABS standard diya gaya hai. Although, inmein se majority changes X440 T se liye gaye hai, but 3.5-inch TFT display original X440 se carry forward ki gayi hai. X440 or Sprint 440 ke between ek or common factor yeh hai ki both motorcycles mein ride-by wire technology nahi milti hai. That means Sprint 440 mein bhi ride modes or traction control jaise features nahi diye gaye hai.
Harley-Davidson ne abb Sprint ki UK pricing reveal kar di hai, jo ki colour options ke according vary karti hai. Iska base Dark Gilliard Grey colour option GBP 4,995 (Rs. 6.35 lakh) mein available hoga, jiske baare mein pehle bhi bataya gaya tha. But agar aapko Vivid Black ya Teal Thunder colour option zyada pasand aate hai, so inke liye aapko additional GBP 200 (Rs 25,440) pay karne honge. At present, Harley-Davidson ne sirf US market ke launch timeline ko confirm kiya hai. whereas baaki international markets ke plans company later stage par reveal kar sakti hai. Although Harley-Davidson ne India launch ko lekar officially kuch confirm nahi kiya hai, but abhi ke liye humein nahi lagta ki Sprint 440 anytime soon Indian market mein launch hogi.
