New BMW 3 Series revealed: Eight-Gen sedan gets Neue Klasse Design

BMW has revealed the eighth-generation 3 Series, bringing Neue Klasse-inspired styling, a tech focused interior and new mild hybrid petrol engines. The range topping M350 xDrive packs 426hp, while a plug-in hybrid is also planned.
BMW ne apni all time bestseller, 3 Series ki 8th generation se covers hata diye hai. Yeh combustion powered model hai jiska codename G50 diya gaya hai, and is model ko March 2026 mein i3 EV ke through pehle hi preview kar diya gaya tha. Engine options ki baat karein so 318 and 320 variants of the G50 3 Series mein 2.0 litre four cylinder direct injection turbo petrol engine diya gaya hai which is paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. 318 variant mein this engine 156hp and 250Nm ka output generate karta hai, whereas 320 variant mein a stronger state of tune dekha jaa sakta hai which produces 211hp and 330Nm. Both variants mein 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox diya gaya hai and power rear wheels par send ki jaati hai. Performance ki baat karein so 318 variant 0-100kph ko 9.5 seconds mein complete karta hai and has a claimed top speed of 215kph, whereas the more powerful 320 variant 7.4 seconds mein 0-100 kph achieve karta hai and can reach a top speed of 240kph. Then comes the range topper of the G50 3 Series line-up, the M350 xDrive. Yeh current M340i xDrive ko replace karta hai and isme same 3.0 litre direct-injection turobo straight-six engine diya gaya hai. However, abb yeh engine 426hp and 540Nm ka output produce karta hai, which is 52hp and 40Nm more than the M340i. M350 mein 48-volt mild hybrid system ke saath 8-speed automatic gearbox bhi diya gaya hai, while power BMW ke xDrive all wheel drive system ke through all four wheels par send ki jaati hai. Because of this setup M350 xDrive 0-100kph sprint ko claimed 4.1 seconds mein complete kar sakta hai, while top speed 250kph tak limited hai. BMW ne abhi tak potential diesel versions of the G50 3 Series ko lekar koi details release nahi ki hai, current 3 Series mein already 2.0 litre four sylinder diesel engine diya jaata hai which produces 190hp and 400Nm of torque. However, German carmaker ne confirm kar diya hai that a plug-in hybrid variant ko bhi coming year mein 3 Series line-up mein add kiya jaayega. Production of the G50 3 Series abb November 2026 se BMW ke Dingolfing plant in Germany mein start ho jayega, with global market launches early 2027 onward planned hai. New 3 Series India mein bhi land karti hui dekhi jaa sakti hai, although iski exact timeline at present confirm nahi ki gayi hai. Agar current 3 Series or BMW India ki long-wheelbase models ke saath success ko indication maana jaye, so G50 ka LWB (Long wheelbase) version bhi India mein dekhne ko mil sakta hai. BMW ne few months before Chinese market ke liye i3 ka ek LWB derivative reveal kiya tha, so 3 Series ka bhi ek equivalent version comes all that unlikely nahi lagta.
