Tata ek all new midsize electric SUV develop kar raha hai, jiska internal codename "Kuno" rakha gaya hai. Yeh upcoming EV market mein MG Windsor EV se head on compete karegi, aisa sources suggest karte hai. Expected hai ki is electric SUV ko 2027-28 tak launch kiya jaa sakta hai. Approximately 4.3m long yeh EV Tata ke lineup mein next-generation Nexon EV (jiska codename "Garud" hai) or current Sierra EV ke between position ki jayegi. Kuno bhi Tata Motors ke EV lineup expansion plan ka part hoga, jiske through company FY2031 tak apne electric portfolio ko current six models se increase kar ke 10 models tak le jaane ki planning kar rahi hai. Is plan ki announcement Tata Motors ne June 2026 mein apne Investor Day event ke during ki thi. Tata "Kuno" EV: All you need to know Kuno ko Tata ke Acti.ev dedicated electric platform par based kiya jayega. jo different body styles or powertrain layouts ko support karta hai. Is platform par front-wheel drive (FWD), rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) jaise configurations bhi offer kiye jaa sakte hai. Platform ka flat floor or optimised battery-pack layout Kuno ke cabin mein maximum space provide karne mein gelp karega. Issse Kuno ko MG Windsor EV ke against compete karne mein bhi help milegi, because Windsor EV ka spacious or family-friendly cabin uski biggest selling points mein se ek hai. Kuno ko likely Gujrat mein Tata ke Sanand manufacturing facility mein produce kiya jaa sakta hai. Tata ki planning hai ki is facility mein annually around 80,000 se 1 lakh units ka production kiya jaaye, which indicated that the carmaker expects this midsize SUV to capture a sizeable share in the midsize EV market. Kuno ko launch ke saath Tata ke midsize EV lineup mein ek or SUV add ho jayegi, jo already Curvv EV or Sierra EV ke saath position karegi.
Note karne wali baat yeh hai ki "Kuno" at present ek internal project codename hai or chances hai ki production model launch hone ke baad iska final name kuch or rakha jaaye. Battery, powertrain, and range expectations Tata ne abhi tak Kuno ke battery or powertrain specifications reveal nahi kiye hai. However, jis tarah se is SUV ko Curvv EV or Sierra EV ke alongside position kiya jaa raha hai, usse expect kiya jaa sakta hai ki company both models mein se kisi ek ke battery pack or electric motor options Kuno mein bhi offer kar sakti hai. Agar Curvv EV ki baat karein, so ismein 55kWh ka battery pack diya gaya hai, jo front axle-mounted electric motor ke saath paired hai. Yeh motor 167hp ki power or 215Nm ka torque generate karti hai, while iska claimed range 502km hai. Other side Sierra EV ki baat karein so ismein 65kWh or 75kWh ke battery pack options milte hai, jinke saath claimed range respectively 535km or 665km tak ki hai. Iske rear-wheel-drive (RWD) versions 238hp or 209hp ki power generate karte hai, while dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) versions combined 349hp ki power or 504Nm ka torque produce karta hai. Kuno ki pricing strategy ko lekar abhi tak koi official information disclose nahi hui hai, but given its planned positioning in the midsize EV segment, iski pricing Tata Curvv EV (Rs. 17.19 lakh-19.39 lakh) or Sierra EV (Rs 18.79 lakh-Rs 25.99 lakh) ke similar price bracket mein position ki jayegi.
